Indonesia beauty of Asia

Consider some facts: The largest archipelago in the world with nearly 18000 islands, Indonesia extends along the equator, more than 5000 km. Nearly 60% of the land in Indonesia is wooded and has more than 500 volcanoes - 12% of them are still in business! The fourth country's most densely populated in the world after China, India and the United States with nearly 250 million people, is made up of some 300 ethnic groups who speak some 600 languages and dialects.

Bali - the island of the gods!

Initially, the visitor to Indonesia, I was excited and a little nervous. It is a huge country spread over thousands of miles. So, like India, and yet so unlike India, with its countless islands forming a chain along the equator.

The excitement is the fact that we had a month to write the examination of these beautiful islands; active volcanoes in the home, beautiful beaches and unique wildlife, such as the Komodo dragon.

We started our journey into the relative comfort of a well-developed tourism infrastructure on the island of Bali. In fact one thing that is difficult is to try to obtain a reasonable price flight from New Delhi, so that we left behind! Everything has functioned without incident, and Malaysian airlines throughout the flight later, in Kuala Lumpur, we landed at the airport in Denpasar, Bali. The landing was spectacular as the aircraft descends close to the white sand beach of Jimbaran, as you fly, what you can see the sea closer and closer to come up to a few seconds before touchdown wheels, the track is suddenly visible.

Indonesia has recently relaxed its visa regime for Indians, it was possible to get a visa upon arrival - an Indian passport holder, it is still a new experience for travel in the country and obtain a visa at the finish line! Laos, Thailand, Hong Kong (curiously, it requires a visa for China if), Cambodia and the Maldives are among the others.

It was a hassle-free experience, and we can immediately see the benefits it brings to tourism and business travel. This is all the more important in view of the Indian Tourism Board in its efforts to push a similar proposal for visitors across India.

Having pre-arranged some budget accommodation in the seaside town near Sanur, we hired a taxi to get us there. Bali's excellent tourist infrastructure, made it an easy and painless process, we did not even need the Indonesian We were learning a language easier to learn than many.

Bali, appropriately called "Island of the Gods" is a prime example of religious and cultural diversity that exists in Indonesia, and consists mainly of Hindu communities. But the island of Java, which includes the capital, Jakarta, is predominantly Muslim and the island of Flores (where are we going after our trip) is mostly Christian.

The generalization of the islands with their mix of peoples, cultures and religions means that Indonesia has faced a problem similar to India in terms of language. Bahasa Indonesia is the national language but interesting has faced similar challenges in many parts of the country so that, with the adoption of Hindi as a national language in India. Indeed, in Bali, the Balinese is widespread.

The Balinese worship different gods of Hindu mythology, and that everyone knows the Ramayana and the Mahabharatha that many Indians are. Each house is actually considered a minor temple, adding further to the incredible statistics about 20000 temples on this small island of more than two million people.

Offerings are made twice a day to the gods of the house and to the gods honored in the small shrines everywhere. As you drive around Bali, at the sight of women with offerings of rice and flowers on banana leaves is widespread. Indeed, the word Bali, dating from the 9th century, means "gift".

Sanur - quite unfairly nicknamed "snore 'Us - is a sleeping city, which had started to lose its charm, thanks to its efforts to pander all sorts of tourists. Our sense of discovery, lead us to search for the real Bali and Around us a small island, Nusa Lembongan, about two hours by boat.

Nusa Lembongan 3 is one of the islands that sit across the Badung Strait on the south coast of Bali, Nusa Ceningan with & Nusa Penida. 3 The islands are somewhat impoverished, based on seaweed farming, livestock and other low-yielding, with tourism the brightest light on the horizon. The boat ride through the Strait of Badung was good at first, but we had been warned, the Straits are very deep and there is always a large swell finely illustrated by the downtown of the girl sitting behind us not able to keep his breakfast Far fish!

Although we had to get off at the main pier, we composed our minds to make our way of Mushroom Bay, a beautiful white sand beach that we had spotted from the boat. Getting there meant either taking a small boat-taxi, but expensive, or walking with our heavy bags and down for a couple of hours.

Of course, having decided on the option of water taxi, we could not find one to a booming Australian drawl asked if he could help them. Indeed, it was the owner of the taxi company of the water who had lived on Nusa Lembongan for years. Mushroom Bay is also quite close and we ourselves set aside in some Balinese style accommodation for a few nights.

Breakfast at the beach is a luxury for everyone, and we certainly have the spectacle at the aptly named, but rather predictable Bali Café. There was a feeling of exclusivity to the Bay of mushroom which has been troubled by the middle of the day, for a few hours by hikers in Bali. We have devoted this time to explore the island, and the first time decided to make a walking tour. Incredibly greenery and beautiful beaches, were our reward after a certain time, even if the humidity makes walking more effort than we would have liked. And, of course, the temples and offerings were everywhere.

The next day, we decided to explore a little further by hiring a motorbike with my courageous woman (she says!) Accept rolling pillion. The roads are not very big and steep in places, but we have deducted off. It is difficult to lose your way around the island and on the other side of the island, stopping off to admire the views and when stopped by inquisitive children-friendly.

Our plan was to visit the two other nearby islands, to the extent possible, and said that we could ride our bikes on a narrow bridge. The bridge was in fact close, but what worries us even more is the approach ramp - a small miscalculation of a few centimeters, and it is likely that we would miss the bridge and land in the ocean . As if it is brave adventurers, we decided that I try alone without my passenger. Success!

Driving through Nusa Ceningan, it was evident that the island was much poorer than Nusa Lembongnan, but the difference is tourism. Residents of the province of Nusa Ceningan survived mainly through agriculture and sea weed when trade does not go well, they have a difficult life.

We stopped at a place where there was clearly planned to build a resort. Most of the structure and presentation were in place, but now had been left to rot. As we were enjoying the views and thought how wonderful it would be to resurrect the resort, and it is always possible, a man appeared from behind buildings and places. Suddenly, we were concerned that the intrusion, and that there was no other soul in sight, we tried to apologize and leave. But he was very nice and told us about plans for this place and how it had gone wrong when all of its business partners abroad has decided to retire when tourism in Bali, has been in free fall After the bombings several years ago. During our last sentences of Bahasa Indonesia had come in useful! That, with the English and body language helped us.

Having had a relatively calm and relaxed introduction to Indonesia, we were ready to make our way back to the mainland and obtain Bali fearless in the pursuit of Komodo dragon and see the whales in the remote village of Lamalera, one of the easternmost islands.

Breath of Villas in Bali Island

A villa is basically a house where a family can spend their time together. However, in Bali, a villa is a breath of nature for the family, for the first time, a honeymoon, or individuals who want to meet new self-being.

Most of the villas in Bali take into account privacy, and it is the harmony with nature. The detailed design of their architectures may be different, but privacy and luxury play an important role in the basic concept of many villas.

Luxurious, sometimes superbly luxurious, architecture numerous villas in Bali at the rate of breathing space that plays on the silence around him and integrates easily and unobtrusively in the small community.

In recent years, the Island of the Gods has become the site of numerous villas, or a cluster of villas sometimes referred to as a boutique resort. The start of the new super luxury, the trend began in the late 1980's, specifically with the opening of the Amandari, perched on the edge of the Sayan Ubud Gorge. The spirit behind the station was famous Australian architect Peter Muller with Adrian Zecher owner.

Hotels that time were built with many rooms. Villas, however, have different approach. It is not simply the number of hotel rooms that you, but how they are wonderful. Luxury, too, is not only determined by the materials expensive for many of these stations often use the simplest of local materials.

Details of the concepts of boutique resorts and villas have developed since the time of Muller and Zecher, who started the rejuvenation of traditional Balinese village living within their architecture design. Â € œNowadays, modern touches are an important element in the design of the villas in Bali, â € said Popo Danes, a renowned architect who designed Balinese full of villas in Bali more remote locations.

Therefore, according Popo, a sense of simplicity is increasingly strong.

Originally, simple village life has been mixed with a classic urban lifestyle. Today, however, the sensation of simplicity built the luxurious atmosphere. Details of the architecture of many Balinese villas are beautifully combined the traditional and modern elements and characteristics.

It is a characteristic almost always viewed: traditional Balinese angkul-angkul, which usually gives access to Balinese compounds in many parts of the island, was used to strengthen the traditional sense of the villa building.

The presence of angkul-angkul gave an atmosphere of the village life in many holiday villas. Almost all designers villa "in Bali, apparently, consider angkul-angkul as a standard feature designed for Balinese villa. However, the popularity of angkul-angkul has expanded beyond the borders of the island. In Jakarta, and in many places in Java, including in Jogyakarta and Surabaya, angkul-angkul won a special place in the design villa, it is often applied to give access to many private villas, even luxurious residences. C'est peut be reminding them of Bali, to the nuances of the harmony of Balinese life.

Once you pass the villa's angkul-angkul, a peaceful garden awaits you. A garden is apparently another â € ~ mandatory in the area of the beauty of Bali-based designers villa. With rows of colorful flowering plants or leaf decorative tropical gardens bring nature in the villas, each with their own details depending on the direction of their responsibilities landscape. The garden is not just to decorate the villa, it is so important for the image that some villas in Bali use as a tool for marketing and promotion of the property as a â € ~ villa garden. "

Adjacent to the garden, often in the shadow of a frangipani tree, often determines the pool. Pools were closed another trend in the luxury villa design. Today, it seems that the villa is not a real â € ~ 'villa without private pool. It may be a small pool or even a pool where you immerse guests to relax and spend time basking in the sun.

The garden and pool (sometimes not often!) Were advanced with a spectacular backdrop of green paddy fields, mountains, river or stream beach: According to the blessing of the beauty of the location of the villa. This is Bali, where the superb panorama of nature has long become an important element of beauty.

A villa, by this definition must be very small and limited. Above all, it should have its own flavor and character recognizable. The only similarity between numerous villas in Bali is the level of luxury and excellence.

If you have the money and you want to really relax and enjoy during a visit to Bali, make sure you reward yourself by staying in one or more of the world's best resorts.

WHY WORLD TRAVELERS FLOCK TO BALI

True to its legend, Bali delivers an exotic landscape, mesmerizing dances, fascinating temples and a myriad of crafts to be indelibly etched into the minds and hearts of tourists. Since its first encounter with well-known Western visitors in the 1930s, Bali has developed its tourism to embrace worldwide travelers. The secrets of Bali's thriving tourism lie in its isolation from world political turmoil, vividness of Balinese culture and arts, and array of amenities, facilities and leisure activities to accommodate any type of traveler.

How is Bali different from the rest of Indonesia?
Safety - In our present world of anxiety and uncertainty after the September 11 terror attacks in the United States, Bali remains one of the few escapes for vacationers. Although social unrest has existed in other parts of Indonesia, Bali stands unfazed by religious or political upheavals disorder. As an island paradise with crimson sunsets and tropical mystique, it has been shielded from a world of cruel reality. As one Japanese tourist describes it, "Bali is the safest haven when the world is collapsing around you."

Tourism - With an international appeal and a bustling economy driven by tourism, Bali has become a paragon for the rest of Indonesia plagued by political strife and stricken by economic deterioration. As a result, the Indonesian government implemented policies to improve facilities for advancing tourism on other islands, hoping to spark the spread of magic in Bali to the rest of the archipelago.

Religion - Although the majority of the population follow Islam in Indonesia, ninety-five percent of Balinese Hinduism adhere to. The Balinese ubiquitously express their religious devotion obligations through social, cultural practices and art endeavors. An estimated 20000 temples are located conveniently throughout this small island where people can celebrate endless series of ceremonies extending from birth to even after death.

Trained guides - Like many Asian nations, a foreign language is compulsory in secondary schools. In most parts of Indonesia, the common foreign language is either English or German, but in Bali, Japanese is required. "I like to come to Bali because I do not have to worry about communication problems," said Etsuko Murata who has visited Bali three times in the last five years. "I was surprised to find more Japanese than English spoken here," commented Ben Kingsley, an Australian who came to surf for the first time. Besides being trained to communicate in different languages with worldwide travelers, the tour guides are well prepared to handle the annual onslaughts of the three largest groups of visitors - the Australians, Japanese, and French.

What makes Bali tourism unique?
Guided Tours - Trying to reduce high unemployment and satisfy customers' needs in one stroke, the Indonesian government implemented a policy stipulating that vehicle tours, except buses, must provide an experienced driver and a trained guide for a maximum load of four passengers. Thus, guided tours are abundant and competitive; some even offer discounts and free coupons. Often unreliable and crowded, local buses run few and far between to the dissatisfaction of most passengers. Although popular among individual travelers, riding motorcycles rental faces danger in congested traffic and undisciplined. Motorcycle accidents have been the largest cause of death among foreign visitors to Bali to date. With those points in mind, most travelers opt for small guided tours ranging from US $ 15 to US $ 50 as the most convenient and the safest way to see Bali.

Accommodations range - Throughout the year, international travellers with a wide range of interests flock to Bali, some come for relaxation to dabble in water sports or simply sunbathe on the beach, " Other venture here for beauty - massage and cosmetology, others are still looking to immerse themselves in Balinese culture and art, others want to explore the strengths of Bali. For whatever reason, Bali offers a wide selection of accommodations, ranging from a losmen (10 USD for a bed) to a luxury five-star hotel (more than $ 100 per night), catering to every Visitor taste and budget. Young and restless foreigners hang out in the district of Kuta, famous for its nightlife and low budget bungalows. At the southern tip of the island, Nusa Dua, a tourist enclave is home to a host of luxury hotels and exclusive conceived in the traditional Balinese style. "We usually stay in the Australians losmens and enjoy the beach. At the other end of the scale, the Japanese prefer to stay in luxury hotels and go to beauty treatments or sightseeing" , said a guide Alba Tours (Tel: 62-361-281088, ext. 1745).
